Trustees chart a new role

At a meeting on 27 June 2012, trustees asked the question “What can be done with the assets of the International Interfaith Centre which will further the work for which it was set up?”

The decision was taken that IIC will consider using its assets in the following ways:

Support for lectures on interfaith subjects.
Universities or centres will be approached to host these events. IIC will not become tied to one institution in particular.

Other forms of project support will also be considered, with the proviso that they have an interfaith element.
An example would be new-media projects on the direction of people’s spirituality and religious faith.

All funding proposals will be expected to submit detailed written statements.  An Executive Committee of the board of trustees will consider all funding proposals, and make decisions with a view to quick turnaround times for dispensing grant money.
